A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Thursday May 18,2017 at St. John A.M.E Zion Church Sunbury,NC at 1:00. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to service. Rev. Joseph Whitney,Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.

Mr. Costen leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter: Patrina L. Cratling, one son: Vernon Cratling Jr. one sister: Valerie Chenay Costen, two brothers: Mc Ell Costen, Darin M. Costen, Jr. two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Costen's remains rest in the care of Stallings Funeral Home of Elizabeth City,NC
