Jimmy Franklin Bailey Jr. Departed this life to meet his Heavenly Father and become one of God’s Angels on October 23, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Jimmy “JuneBug” was born on April 17, 1964 to Jimmy Franklin Bailey Sr. and Ann Deloris Moore Bailey. He was a 1983 graduate from Eastern North Carolina School for the Death of Wilson, North Carolina.
Junior accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Poole’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hertford, North Carolina at a very early age. He recently became an active member of Grace Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. As an adult, June Bug attended the Monarch Center in Elizabeth City. He was an active attendee and would have a “moment” when he had to miss a day. Jimmy loved wrestling, boxing bowling, swimming and he so loved the outings with his buds at the center. He enjoyed working with dad riding the Z mower and he expected to be paid too. June Bug loved each and every person he came in contact with especially his family. He never met a stranger. He wanted a hug and a juicy kiss when he saw you. Once you met him…..you never forgot him and he never forgot you either. Jimmy had many talents…security, body guard, hugger and some others. Jimmy…Junior…June Bug was a diehard DALLAS COWBOYS FAN. Jimmy is preceded in death by his grandparents Horace and Annie Moore and Henry and Ella Mae Bailey.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memory: His mother and father, Jimmy and Deloris Bailey; two sisters, Sharon Bailey Chamblee (Howard) of Hampton, Virginia; Sonya Anita Bailey of Hopewell, Virginia; Niece, Kiana Mack (Ricky) of White Plains, Maryland; two nephews, Markus Chamblee (Andrea) and Nicholas Chamblee both of Hampton, Virginia. Four Great Nieces; Nia, Serenity, Kylie, and Kadence Mack; June Bug is also survived by several Aunts and Uncles and several Cousins who loved him dearly.
