Marvin Perkins Obituary

Celebration of life will take place on Saturday Nov, 10, 2018 at Union Chapel Baptist Church at 11:00 AM

Visitation will be Friday Nov 9, 2018 at Stallings Funeral Home.

On Thursday, November 1, 2018 the Lord called Marvin home to his eternal rest from the residence of his brother/best friend, Jerell Graham.
Marvin Lee Perkins, the son of Margaret Dance was born December 26, 1968 in Elizabeth City, NC. He graduated from Northeastern High School and was employed with Quality Builders as the Production Manager for 13 years. He was also an Entrepreneur for several years with his friend, Jerell. They ran a multiple-services business that ranged from lawn care services to roadside assistance, which they enjoyed and were well known for in the area. He later moved to Tampa, Florida and worked at Raymond James Stadium for about two years where he received recognition awards for his outstanding work performance. In March 2016, Marvin began his current career at Courtland as a groundskeeper. He was conscientious, took pride in his work and was well-liked and respected. He also treated his peers with kindness and warmth and always had a big smile on his face.
You would always catch Marvin during football season cheering on his mighty “Dallas Cowboys”.
Marvin leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Margaret Dance of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Willis George Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Yvette Perkins of Raleigh, NC, Phyllis Brooks and Carllisa Johnson both of Elizabeth City NC; four brothers, Kenneth Perkins, Curtis Perkins and Jerell Graham (Dawn) all of Elizabeth City, NC and George Dance (Sarah) of Buffalo, NY; four grandchildren, his fiancée, Belinda M. Williams of Tampa, FLA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his NHS 1988 classmates, co-workers and friends.
