Al Jolson Snowden Jr. “MudBone” departed from this earthly life on September 15, 2022.
Homegoing Service for Al Jolson Snowden Jr. “MudBone” will be Saturday September 24, 2022 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church at 1 pm.Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 5 pm - 7 pm.
Al Jolson Snowden Jr. “MudBone” was preceded in death by his parents Al Jolson Snowden Sr. and Elizabeth Snowden of Elizabeth City, NC.
Mudbone was always the life of the party and he brought laughter to every room he entered. He had a love for the Dallas Cowboys and going to the race track (shhh….he wasn’t opposed to street racing either). Mudbone had a generous and giving heart although he masked it with jokes and trash talking to anyone he came around.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters, Tnisha Hudson (Manu) of Lexington Park, MD, Kerita Gallop (Dewayne) of Camden, NC and a son, Dante Adkins (Nikki) of Fredericksburg, VA. He has five brothers, Ricky Snowden (Dottie), Jasper Snowden (Julie), Chester Snowden (Lynette), George Snowden (Kendra) and Michael Snowden (Heather) and one sister, Mary Griffin (Mike). He also leaves one grandson, Jawaan Snowden, and 5 granddaughters, Shamyra Snowden, Nashma Hudson, Aziza Hudson, Dominique Adkins and Kennedi Graham. He is also loved by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that made an impact in his life.
If you are left with anything from his life, we ask that you remember what Mudbone always said,
“If you see me and a bear fighting, don’t help me, help the bear”
Stallings Funeral Home will be assisting the Snowden family with excellence and care during their time of bereavement.
