Herbert Lee Johnson

Herbert Lee Johnson Jr., 70, died on September 25, 2018.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday,
September 29, 2018 p.m at 2 p.m., at Stallings Funeral
Home of Elizabeth City with Rev. Joseph
Welch Sr. Eulogist. Full military rights service
will be held at the New Oak Ceremony after the
service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September
28, 2018 at Stallings Funeral Home of Elizabeth
City from 5-8pm. Family will be receiving family
and friends at 4 p.m.

Herbert was the son of the late Herbert Sr. and
Mary Johnson. He was retired from the U.S Army
and U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the
Prince Hall Free and Accepted Mason.
Herbert was married to his wife, Brenda Johnson,
for 50 years. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and great grandfather. He has one
daughter, Eboni Stallings (Dennis) . He has three
sons: Vernon Perry, Herbert Johnson III (Chandra)
and Tony Johnson (Latreishia) and one godson
Joseph Brunson. He has 4 sisters: Mattie Gibson
(Howard) Carolyn Parker (deceased) Ruby Maxwell
and Alicia Morton. He has 3 brothers: Dennis
Ferebee, Melvin Johnson (Dorothy) and Clarence
Johnson. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren,
four great-grandchildren and a host of family
and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at the family
residence, 2304 West Church Street, Elizabeth
City, NC.
Stallings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
