Isaac (Ike) Leon Murden, Sgt (USA Retired), 96, of 800 S. Road Street, Elizabeth City, died at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at 12 noon. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, in lieu of a traditional funeral service, the family has opted to hold only the burial with Military Funeral Honors.

Isaac Murden was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Murden, parents and siblings. He is survived by two children: Irish Brooks of Elizabeth City and Vince T. Murden, Sr and wife, Jacqueline of Elgin, SC. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Yolanda Brooks, Isaac Brooks, David Brooks, Tony Brooks, Lauren Brown, Gabrielle Murden and Vince T. Murden, Jr.; five great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
