James Blount departed from this earthly life on September 6, 2025.

A Life Celebration Service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC. Interment will follow in Dove's Landing Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Stallings Funeral Home will be assisting the Blount family with excellence and care during their time of bereavement.
