Lorenzo Dance

Lorenzo Dance, 65 died on Friday March 5, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Celebration of Life will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 at noon, at Holy Trinity Community Church. Viewing will be held 5-7pm Wednesday March 10 at Stallings Funeral Home. The service will be live - streamed on Stallings Funeral Home Facebook page. 

Lorenzo Dance was born May 19, 1955 to Ella Bowe Thornton and the late Robert Dance Sr. 

Lorenzo was preceded in death by three brothers: Benjamin Dance, Elvin Dance and Jamie Dance; and sister Stephanie Dance Seymore.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 44 years Alice Mallory Dance of Elizabeth City, NC; three daughters: Lorita (Angel) Dance Spencer, Son in Law (RaShawn Spencer), Kammidy (Kam) Dance,(Jason) and Pracious (P.Rae) Dance; two grandchildren: Kamari Spencer and Anylah Spencer; three sisters: Iris Ferebee of Moyock, NC, Agnes Godfrey and Melody Tyler (Anthony) of Elizabeth City, NC; four brothers: Robert Dance, Jr and Leroy Dance (Connie) of Norfolk, VA, William Earl Dance, Sr. (Elaine) and Steven Dance of Elizabeth City, NC; one uncle: Hercules Dance of Elizabeth City, NC;Loving in-laws Mary E. Mallory, Hazel Felton (James), Pearl James(Melvin), Fannie Watts(Bennie), ArmeciaForeman (John), Narissa Wilson (Percy), Ricky Mallory (Minnie), Edgar Mallory, and Dempsey Mallory all of Hertford, NC. Calvin Godfrey of Portsmouth, VA Idell Mallory (Sharon) of Clinton MD and Percy Mallory (Louise) of Elizabeth City NC a Special niece: Priscilla Dance of Elizabeth City, NC; Special Mother: Ann Louise Dance of Elizabeth City; long-time friends: John Shannon, Eric Lee Holley, Carl Gray, Alfred Brown, John Lang, and Bruce Bright; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Stallings Funeral Home will be assisting the Dance family with excellence and care during their time of bereavement.
