It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion S. Murden who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
A Private Celebration of Life for Marion S. Murden will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at New Mt. Zion Church of God In Christ Deliverance Center 118 S Hwy 343, Camden, NC 27921. Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Glenn Sawyer as the Eulogist. A walk-through viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. We are following all COVID-19 restrictions. Mask are required. The services will be live-streamed on Stallings Funeral Home Facebook page.
She leaves to celebrate and carry on her legacy her children:Carlton Sutton, Sr. (Ilean) of Raleigh; Betty Ferrier (Compton) of Clinton, MD; Darlene Springs (Jimmy) of Garner; Ella Godfrey of the home; Brenda Murden of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; one brother Willie Earl Williams (Ida) of Winston-Salem, one sister-in-law; Dora Dillard of Elizabeth City; two brothers-in-law; George Murden of Texas and Henry Murden (Belinda) of Winston-Salem; special nieces and nephew; Barbara Williams, Lauretta Skinner and Woody Skinner; a host of relatives and friends.
Beside her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Elder Denvel Sutton and her siblings, Penny Skinner, Mary Rouse, Martha Riddick, Naomi Sutton, Ruth Sutton and Mike Sutton, Jr.
Stallings Funeral Home will be assisting the Murden family with excellence and care during their time of bereavement.
