Mildred J. Burke departed from this earthly life on July 4, 2024.

Celebration of life services will commence on Saturday July 13, 2024 beginning 11 AM at Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM - 7PM.

Mildred was preceded in death by sisters: Luealor Johnson Smith, Olivia Johnson, Annie Mae Johnson Roberson, Judy Mae Johnson, Betty Johnson White (Lamont), and Sarah Elizabeth Johnson. 

​Remaining to treasure precious memories, Mildred leaves to mourn one daughter, Beverly Ann Johnson Husband (Javier), one brother, Oscar Johnson Jr. of Seattle, WA, and one brother-in-Law of Elizabeth City, NC; Four Grandchildren: Tequan Hart of Atlanta, GA, Stanley Hart of Groton, CT, Anthony Jackson, and Antanea Jackson of Newport News, VA; One great grandchild, Christian Hart of Atlanta, GA; One special niece, Barbara Best, who she raised, a longtime friend, Bertha Barclift, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
