Mr.Winford Cowell,Sr. of 1679 Caratoke Hwy Moyock, NC transitioned from this life on Thursday March 16, 2017 at home around loving family.

Celebration of Life will be on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tyrone Smith officiating and Pastor Robert Adylett delivering the eulogy.

A wake will be held at the church on Friday March 24, 2017 from 5-7p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at 1679 Caratoke  Hwy, Moyock,NC

Mr. Cowell was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Etheridge Cowell. He leaves to cherish his memories one loving daughter Robin Cunningham(Cleon); two sons, WInford Cowell Jr.(Sarah); and Je'Keith Cowell Sr.(Kelley) all of Moyock,NC; one brother, Clarence Cowell of Elizabeth City,NC; two sisters, Jean McMillian (LB) of Toledo,OH and Enda Mae Spellman of Fayetteville,NC, six grandchildren, Tyesha Cowell, Jeriah King, Alexis Cowell, Cleonna Cunningham, Nuri Cowell, and Je'Keith Cowell Jr.(KJ); two sisters-in-law, Jeantte Etheridge of Covington,Ga. and Delores Etheridge of Fredrick,Md; two brothers-in-law, Elijah Etheridge(Fannie) of Norfolk,Va. and Haywood Etheridge of Camden,NC and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. 

Mr. Cowell's remains rest in the care of Stallings Funeral Home of Elizabeth City,NC
